Home remedy turmeric

The "golden milk" gets its beautiful color from the spice turmeric. In Ayurvedic medicine, the tuber and the drink have long since ceased to be an insider tip. Of course, the golden color does not make the drink a healing home remedy: it is the good ingredients that are contained in turmeric.

Golden milk: why turmeric helps with colds

Turmeric and the curcumin it contains are known to have an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect. Both help to fight colds and infections. The spice is particularly helpful in the case of respiratory diseases, as it forms a protective layer in the mouth and throat area and alleviates the symptoms. Turmeric helps in advance, but also when the cold has already struck, as it strengthens the immune system. In combination with the other ingredients, golden milk is said to be a healing and stimulating drink.
