It's crazy: it's finally light again early in the morning and the chirping of birds puts us in a good mood. Nevertheless, we lack the energy to get the day off to a cheerful start. Some chalk this up to laziness, others see it as an unavoidable fate. But there is a completely different explanation. The body lacks energy!

Too little energy for the body: how winter has harmed us
The dark, cold season often sticks in our bones for a long time. If you are dog-tired during the day, generally have little energy and find it difficult to concentrate, you quickly think of the typical spring fatigue. But Munich-based nutritionist Dr. Tanja Werner sees things differently: "The symptoms can also be caused by hyperacidity. This is mainly caused by an unbalanced diet." In most cases, the sumptuous meals of the cold season are to blame for the lack of energy. They do not provide the body with good energy. This is because if we constantly eat very protein-rich foods, such as meat or fish dishes, the acid-base balance becomes unbalanced over time. Eggs, seafood, cereals and dairy products are also acidic foods. If we also eat too few alkaline foods, an imbalance quickly develops in the body. The excess acid is then deposited in the body and paralyzes metabolic processes. An imbalance with consequences!
How do I get more energy and drive?
You will regain more performance and energy for your body if you eat more fresh fruit, vegetables, salad, herbs and mushrooms in spring. This can balance out the excess acidity of the past few months, as plant-based foods are very alkaline.
A deacidification cure also helps the metabolism Unfortunately, acid-alkaline balance is not always achieved with an adapted diet alone. "Deacidification with alkaline preparations from the pharmacy can also help," says Dr. Tanja Werner. A study by Charité Berlin confirms the same: a four-week course of alkaline minerals and trace elements balances the acid-base ratio in the body very well. The body's cells have significantly more energy at their disposal again - nervous tension is noticeably reduced and the ability to concentrate improves. You can support the deacidification process through sport. The body is then better supplied with oxygen and the excretory organs work more effectively. Drinking a lot is also important! This stimulates kidney activity and flushes excess acid out of the body more quickly.
