Tidy home
Many people underestimate how happy tidiness can make you. Household guru Marie Kondo has even turned it into her own business model. When you walk through your home in the morning, look around and everything is tidy, it gives you a great sense of well-being. If you trudge through a messy apartment in the morning or see the chaos in the kitchen, you are immediately confronted with tasks again, namely tidying and cleaning - and unlike a clean apartment, this certainly doesn't put a smile on your face in the morning. So put things back in their place in the evening before you go to bed or, ideally, immediately.
Flowers and plants
Green means living - the feel-good atmosphere in your own four walls is much greater when you surround yourself with plants and flowers. Who doesn't have a smile on their face in the morning when they walk past the dining table with a pretty bouquet of flowers on it? Even those who don't like flowers have a positive subconscious reaction! Plants also provide good air, so place some in your bedroom. Read here which houseplants improve our sleep.
Sleep well through the night
Try to avoid anything that prevents you from falling asleep and staying asleep. Cell phones, notebooks and televisions have no place in the bedroom. Pets should preferably not sleep in your bed - if you can, try not to place your dog's basket in the bedroom, but in the hallway or the next room, for example. There are certainly possible locations without our dear four-legged friends feeling excluded. The problem is that we also react subconsciously to movements and noises and therefore feel sleepy the next day. Do you often have calf cramps at night? Try to relieve them with magnesium, for example.
Take five minutes to critically examine what doesn't belong in your bedroom. Anything that disturbs your well-earned sleep and may even end up causing nightmares should be removed.
