
Prevent acidification of the body
Most diets slow down the metabolism, are too one-sided and increase acidosis in fat and connective tissue. Acids block the supply of nutrients to the cells, but also the breakdown of fat and carbohydrates. And acidification of the body makes us hungry. We eat more and more and usually the wrong things.
Out of the diet crisis
The first step in the right diet direction is to supply the body with all the important vital substances. This works best with alkaline recipes. Alkaline supplements (e.g. Basica Direct or Basica Vital, available over the counter from pharmacies) can also help. As a result, the metabolism is activated and we can burn fat and carbohydrates better.
Lose weight properly: Eat according to your metabolic type
Alkaline supplements can be a first aid, but it is more important to adapt your diet. Alkaline foods, which include many types of vegetables, fruit, herbs, nuts, seeds and dried fruit, are a natural way of counteracting acidosis. Acid-forming products such as meat, eggs and white flour, on the other hand, should be less common in your diet. Opinions differ when it comes to milk and dairy products. In some forms of acid-base diets, they are considered neutral and can be consumed in large quantities. In others, their consumption is also restricted.
The 80/20 rule
Treat yourself to mineral water with a high calcium content, but preferably still or low in carbon dioxide. Drinking plenty also promotes elimination. Natural yoghurt also nourishes the intestines and keeps calcium levels high. Eat foods rich in bitter substances once a week, e.g. kohlrabi, endive or grapefruit. This helps the body to better excrete excess acids. Put together a sensible diet. The aim should be a mix of 80% alkaline and 20% acidic foods. Also plan time to relax and unwind in order to reduce your stress potential. Sport is helpful here.
