Slowing down instead of speeding up: how to become a time winner

Hurry up, hurry up, get going... Time often determines our lives. Seemingly unnoticed, we often do many things at the same time. We check our emails or write the shopping list while on the phone. We think we are saving time by doing two things at once. Our happiness expert Dr. Sandra Boltz knows that the assumption that "if you can multitask, you work more efficiently" has long been scientifically disproven.

If we focus our attention on several things at the same time, we constantly interrupt ourselves in what we are doing. Our brain is not able to complete two tasks at the same time. Too much at once is therefore not good, we no longer concentrate on anything properly and quickly feel stressed. The more stress and hectic we have or feel in our everyday lives, the more important it is to pause and calm down.

Concentrate on what is important

So slow down today. Slow down and only concentrate on what is really important and needs to be done. Consciously do just one thing at a time and nothing else on the side. One thing at a time. Calmly and thoughtfully, in exactly the time it takes. Pause from time to time and take note of exactly what you are doing.

Saving time by slowing down

This conscious action with undivided attention also has a great advantage, as it saves us time. We get things done faster because we keep a clear head and there are no distractions. Not bad, is it?

So why not consciously slow down today - instead of speeding up? How about starting right away? Make the next thing you do slower and more conscious.
